Comfy bed fair breakfast good value
Ive been to the bar a couple of times and on both occasions I have quite disgusted with the blonde barmaids attitude. Im not sure but she seems like a child attitude and not an appropriate way to treat any paying customer, both occasions I have stayed in the hotel, room was clean and tidy and mostly good attitude from other staff
Quaint pub/hotel. Staff are very personable and on top of your needs. Rooms are a mixed bag, we were with several others and saw their rooms. Ours was fortunately good however some were not great in terms of size and being comfortable. The water pressure was also an issue, having showers was sometimes precarious. Overall the experience was ok for the the value with the plus being the staff
I moved to town for a new job. I stayed here for 3 weeks. No, it's not upmarket. It's not pretentious. They proudly proclaim that they are a budget hotel. During my stay, they constantly checked to make sure everything was ok. I had to stay on a couple of extra days so they rearranged other bookings so I could stay in the same room. Breakfast was great. Juice, tea, a selection of cereals and they went off menu with the cooked breakfast so I wouldn't get bored. The main thing I can say about this place though..... locals drink in the bar - always a good sign! I still drink there because their regulars and staff are lovely!
The hotel is lovely and the location is perfect and so relaxing. The room was bright, airy and clean and the bed was very comfortable which is the most important point. The breakfast was also very good and the staff were really accommodating, you couldn't really ask for more. For a 2 star hotel, you get exactly what they advertise and a little more. I would definitely recommend it and would return without hesitation.
