We visit around once a month in the evening the staff are always helpful and friendly, we usually eat off the fixed menu, 2 courses for 14.95 as I recall. This can get a bit old if you are a regular and has not been updated in a while - hopefully in the summer. Good selection of beers and coffees. The food is as you would expect and we have never been served a bad meal. One thing to note is that you have to enter you car registration plate into a tablet mounted on the bar or receive a heavy fine.
Have started visiting regularly since Claire took over last year. The pub is much improved under the new Manager and the staff are now a friendly cheerful bunch who genuinely seem to enjoy their work. Nothing is too much trouble including moving tables and chairs for us, meat treats for our fur babies and a little chat when we were feeling down in the dumps. Keep up the great work Shaw Farm
Had a wonderful evening at the pub on my birthday. The food was great and the staff were very friendly. The manager even made a point of coming over and greeted us warmly. I highly rate Shaw Farm and will definitely visit again soon. The variety of beers were excellent too!
What a diamond of a pub, have visited a couple of Vintage Inns in the past but this is the best by far. We received an extremely warm welcome from the lady on the bar, were given an option of menus to chose from & the food was simply amazing. We had Pork Belly & Seabass, both were piping hot and extremely tasty. I have read some bad reviews on this pub and can only assume its a competitor or someone with an axe to grind because we will certainly be back very soon.
This is a lovely place to enjoy a meal and a drink with friends. All the staff are helpful and the Manager made a point of coming over to greet us which was very welcoming. The food was lovely and I asked the Manager to pass on our comments to the kitchen staff. We will certainly return as this is the best place we have visited for a long time. Hope to see you soon
