Great place for a high quality low price meal
It's a nice enough pub, it's changed few times over the years, but seemed a bit understaffed behind the bar on my last visit before Christmas.No idea what it's like on food side now, but always used to be good value.
Regularly visit Town Crier. The food is very good and extremely good value. One problem is they regularly run out of some items. The main reason for a low rating is the toilets. In the ladies there is a long mirror that has broken glass that has been sellotape for months. One of the three toilets has had no lock for months. Another toilet has a broken toilet roll machine that is on a shelf by the sinks so loo rolls on the floor. Regularly the loo rolls run out and toilets are nor flushed. Would highly recommend eating there but go to the loo before you go !!
Very disappointing. Recently moved to the area, so it's now our local. First time we went, we ordered food and waited over an hour, eventually requesting a refund. The lady apologised, explaining it's not their norm which I completely appreciated and said we would definitely try again. We tried again last night and ordered two cheesy melt steak wraps. The wraps were basically tortilla bread, because there was a finger slice of steak and hardly any filling in the wraps. I actually used the side salad to fill them up. Atmosphere is great, service is great and the staff are very friendly. I am afraid the chief in the kitchen is spoiling it for everyone.
